Servicious primers on sale
I just saw these. With hazmat $219 to the door. I know these are not on the level of Federal, which is my favorite, but that price is less than half what Federal will cost anywhere around me.

Re: Servicious primers on sale
I find that I have to seat these with a hand primer to get reliable ignition. Seating them with my Dillon 550 doesn't do the job when shooting them in my Sig 9mm striker fired pistols or my 9mm SA Ronin (1911). I'm using the last of the 5,000 Servicios Aventuras primers that I bought. I won't be buying any more. Maybe the new EXAKT primers are ok. They're not much more. I've only seen one review by someone loading them and the claim was that they were easy to seat and seated below flush with the case head. Until I try a few hundred of the EXAKT primers, I won't make any claims. Ginex have a pretty good reputation, as well as, a pretty good price, but I haven't used them either.14S&W wrote:I just saw these. With hazmat $219 to the door. Some folks like those primers is the reason I posted the link. I am going to try Magtech primers next. If they have the same performance level as some of the major brands I will be using more of them.

I didn't mean to knock your post, I was just giving my experience. I've had no problems with small pistol and large pistol Winchester primers. They've been my go-to primers for decades, but with the prices sky high, I don't blame folks for shopping around the foreign primer market.

Re: Servicious primers on sale
I didn’t take it as knocking my post so all is good. My experience with them was good to start with then became variable hence my move to Magtech. Price is a big reason for me trying other brands. Some have been shooting Magtech ammo with good success so I thought why not try their primers.
I have always used Federal when I could but have shot thousands of WW and CCI. Federal is much more revolver friendly. I am curious to see how the Magtech do in a wheel gun.

Another good thing is it seems like the glut of foreign small pistol primers has brought the price of some American primers down! ammoseek.com is worth checking out for ammo, primers, etc.

I used a couple of thousand Ginex small pistol primers and had two fail to fire in my striker Sig. Tried them again and they went bang. Used the rest in revolvers with no issues. Good primers just have a hard cup and I would use them again.

I've seen reviews where Ginex primers are hard to fully seat. What tool did you use to seat the primers?jms1911 wrote:I used a couple of thousand Ginex small pistol primers and had two fail to fire in my striker Sig. Tried them again and they went bang. I never noticed any issue with priming them. Most were used with a RCBS bench priming tool and Win. cases. I did use a 550 Dillon for the 9mm also.

I'm working my through 10k GINEX SPP, probably 2500 so far. They are a bit harder to fully seat. I'm lucky to have a 1050 so I can adjust seating depth and the pocket swage helps some as well. Tried loading some with a LnL progressive with mixed results. Had to really shove that handle hard and even then I had a few loaded on that press that took 2 strikes.BE Mike wrote:I've seen reviews where Ginex primers are hard to fully seat. The loads off the 1050 have all worked even in striker M&P's with Apex setups.
