Marvel 22 conversion Empty Marvel 22 conversion

Post by barnabus Wed Mar 05, 2014 11:36 am

I have just entered the sport and had a 45 built off a Range Officer and now Im ready to build a 22 on the same platform. I have read that the Marvel magazine sticks out below the grip. Why is this and do all other conversions do the same? Anyone have pics? Thanks

My Marvel mags fit like a typical .45 mag.

Welcome to the sport and site.

Barnabus, welcome aboard!  I've never seen any of the various mags that stick out of a dedicated lower, Marvel or Kart.  I can post some pics of lowers I've built later on today when I get home.

I wouldn't say that "conversions" have magazines that hang out of the magwell, but I would say there are .22 conversion magazines that do.

All of the most recent polymer .22 conversion magazines that I have seen do stick out of the magwell like a .45 mag that has a bumper on the bottom.

If you have the Colt ACE magazines, or GSG magazines, those are flush like a GI magazine.
