First topic message reminder :

now im feeling dumb. i purchased a Burris FastFire III since that seemed to be the best value for a red dot,
now im have difficulty locating a mount for it to fit a Colt Gold Cup..
i tried the Burris #410321 1911 standard mount, this does not seem to fit.
i also tried the Adjustable Novak sight base # 410322 to no success.
these are the two basses that Burris offers for the Colt 1911.
is there a special base for the Gold Cup?
is one of these the correct mount and im missing something with the attachment?
in need of help. (according to my wife in more ways then this) ha

Parts list -

1. For a newer SS Gold Cup - JPA-BM JPOINT MOUNT ADAPTER FOR BOMAR BMCS MELT IN SIGHT CUT (49419) Very tight fit. Needed a sight pusher.

OR

1. For a Range Officer - Optima/JP/DP Mount for LPA [49413]

2. JPA-SHIM3 JPOINT SHIM KIT, SET OF THREE WITH SCREWS Thicker end to the rear. Keeps the elevation adjustment from maxing out and you'll need the longer screws.

3. ARR-JP/DR ARREDONDO DOCTER TO JPOINT MOUNT ADAPTER.  ALLOWS MOUNTING A BFIII SIGHT TO A JPOINT MOUNT.

You can find the parts at JPRifles.com or Evolution Gun Works and other places.

Burris fast fire III 1911 Mount? - Page 2 Empty Help with Red-Dot on Range Officer

Post by Mac2 Thu Apr 09, 2015 9:54 am

ssds14534's picture and parts list is just what I needed in order to place red-dot sight on Springfield Range Officer 9mm with LPA mounted adjustable sight.

However, the 49413 mount that was made by egwguns.com is out of stock.  Ouch.

Any advice on how to mount Burris FF3, or the like, on the slide of a Range Officer will be most welcome.  Like to avoid removing metal.

Thanks,    Mac2
