Ron,
Unless it's for looks, pick up some #4 drywall anchors (mine are yellow). they will function through magazines same as a 22 round, lot's cheaper, you get about the same number of dry fires out of each one as the ones I get from Brownells, and finally, when they no longer work for dry firing-you can still use them for drywall anchors.

If you trim one edge of the "rim" of the wall anchor, and line the trimming up where the extractor would catch the rim when you put the wall anchor in your chamber, you won't need 50 of them. Just 1 will be enough.

Is it ok to keep hitting the same spot? RonRob Kovach wrote:If you trim one edge of the "rim" of the wall anchor, and line the trimming up where the extractor would catch the rim when you put the wall anchor in your chamber, you won't need 50 of them. Just 1 will be enough.

It sure is! It takes a few hundred strikes to beat up the wall anchor to the point that it gets mooshed. If you are dry firing a few hundred times, you are far ahead of many of us!!

Re: 22 CALIBER DUMMY ROUNDS WANTED
I'm not really dry firing. I'm using them to cycle bullets through a gun. I have found loading problems doing this. I use them to see marks a barrel can cause and if shells eject properly. If the gun cycles find I don't usually use them in it again. I'll than just shoot it. I have at present a High Standard The Victor , a Supermatic, a S&W 41 and a Colts Woodsman that I'm testing. Others I have are already good to go. See pics Thanks RonASchlem wrote:What type of 22 are you dry firing? SW41?
