Clark Custom M41 Barrels
Any of you guys shoot these? Any accuracy feedback to offer? Any reason to go for the extension back over the slide for the models set up for scope?

Excellent barrel with under 1" accuracy at 50 yds. The extension over the slide provides a balance which is not barrel-heavy.

Re: Clark Custom M41 Barrels
When I had my M41 installed the barrel without the strap over the slide to get rid of trapped cases upon ejection that I was having problems with in the stock barrel.
Mounted my Ultradot with two rings on the front end and let it hang back over the ejection port.
No more trapped cases= no more alibis since I owned it.
Shot some of my best scores with that barrel.

+1 on this setup almost eliminating stove pipe jams on the M41.
Very accurate barrel. I found it to be a very tight chamber and have to keep it clean to keep it functioning.
I like the balance w/o the extension over the chamber.

Re: Clark Custom M41 Barrels
I have the no-extension model and I have found it to be accurate and reliable with CCI Standard Velocity. It even suffered a dinged chamber when the firing pin broke in half a few years ago. I bought a chamber ironing tool from Brownells, made the repair, and it's been fine ever since. By the way, what appears to be a Weaver-style groove towards the rear of the extension-equipped model is, according to Clark, more decoration than anything else. They claim it's too shallow for most Weaver rings, in case you were thinking of using that groove to position the scope more towards the back.

Good deal.. Thanks for the input guys. With no rear sight to mount I didn't see a lot of reason for the extension over the slide.
