Ruger modification Empty Ruger modification

Post by JLK 8/5/2011, 4:21 pm

I don't own a Ruger but have friends who are just starting out in bullseye that do.
One of them is having trouble with the trigger return spring becoming fouled by
powder residue, etc.
Some months ago on one of the sites I saw a discussion about fabricating a thin metal shield
and placing it in the frame. I didn't pay much attention since I don't shoot a Ruger but was this
mod designed to help the fouling problem my friend is experiencing?
If yes does someone have the link to the discussion that included pictures?
Thanks!!!

I think this is what you are looking for. It will help to slow powder residue from getting down to the sear.
