Cheap accurate Trigger scale
For a cheap accurate trigger scale: Forget the electronic Lyman. - Get a spring trigger scale-one that seems to be fairly smooth. Pull it thru it's range a few times. Find an NRA official trigger weight set. With your spring scale lift each weight 2-2¼-2½-3½-4 and mark each weight where the pointer is on the spring scale. I put a strip of masking tape on the spring scale to mark. - I recently checked mine w/ the official weights and it's still right on. Easy to use for adjusting pull weight at home. -- Russ

Homemade trigger pull tester. Coat hanger-light weight tin lid-4-1lb Lyman bars-1 box 240gr bullets=Trigger Weight Tester. The coat hanger must rest on the trigger at the same area each time, or reading will be different. Get close with the 1 lb Lyman bars, then add 240gr bullet, till hammer drops. Can also be used to check revolvers hammer weight/spring. The lady at the post office checked the weight on the lead bars for me

I used a medical graduated cylinder once, with water of course, for checking less than two pounds. Lift the jug just like you do with the weights set.
The other two ideas above are also excellent.
