Howard Leight R-01526 Impact Sport Electronic Earmuff
On Amazon they have 3,400 reviews and rank a 4.5 out of 5.
I have 3 of them, 1 in my bullseye shoot box, 1 in my general range bag and 1 in my shop.

I bought some of the Howard Leight Impact Sport ear protectors. They are the first ones I've ever used and I like them, especially for the price. That being said, you will only be increasing your NRR from 18 to 20. I use foam earplugs with my ear protectors. If price is no object, I'd go with the Pro Ears electronic hearing protection. They have an NRR of 26. Here is a link: http://www.proears.com/Gold-Series

The newest Howard Leight electronic muffs that I have show a protection factor of 30. The offer significantly more protection (even with glasses) than my 2x cost Peltors. The disadvantages are that they are bulkier and offer less amplification (which I value for hunting).
These are the ones.

Add some cheap in-ear foam plugs? I have an ancient set of Sordins that work excellently IMHO.

Re: MSA Sordin Supreme Pro-X Ear Muffs
I have the Pro Ears Gold and like them.
I first bought a pair of electronics which shut off when there was a sound over 85 decibels. They were really annoying at a loud range because they mostly stayed shut off and, because they are very effective at blocking sound, I could only occasionally hear voices and range commands.
Be sure that whatever you get suppresses (reduces) loud noise to 85 db but passes sounds below 85. I now often forget to take mine off when going downrange to change targets and talking to other shooters. I also leave them on in winter to keep my ears warm.

Re: MSA Sordin Supreme Pro-X Ear Muffs
I have two of the Pro Ears Pro 300, a set of Peltor Tactical Sport, and several pairs of the Howard Leight Impact Sport. All work well as far as sound suppression.
Pro Ears Pro 300 - very comfortable but the headband snapped after 2 or 3 trips to the range, on both pairs. It's a hard plastic headband and apparently couldn't take the pull put on it when putting it on my head (and no, I don't have a particularly large head). Replacement headband is only $16 so I've ordered one hoping I just ran across a couple of lemons. Still, for the price I expect a more durable product.
Peltor Tactical Sport - comfortable, worked very well until the left speaker quit after about 6 months. I still use them occasionally but once again, for the price I was expecting better.
Howard Leight - not quite as comfortable as the others but more than acceptable (not uncomfortable, just not as cushy). I bought 5 pair to use as loaners in my classes, all 5 have been extensively used and are holding up fine. Now I use them myself because they keep working after the others quit.
I know, there is a warranty and can be repaired but I just hate messing with all that. Regardless of price I have to recommend the Howard Leight...
Our bullseye range is outdoor but has a metal roof and metal walls enclosing 3 sides of the firing line - put 20 shooters out there with .45's and the noise gets pretty noticeable. As BE Mike suggested, I use foam plugs in addition to the electronic muffs. Without the plugs the muffs make the reverberating bearable but far from pleasant. With foam plugs, no problem.

I too use the Howard Leight - Impact Sport. With foam plugs (my indoor range gets loud). I give them 7/10 overall, but 9/10 considering the price.
I really appreciate the mini-jack input which lets me plug in my ipod with range commands to practice timed/rapid fire. My only complaint is that it mutes everything (ipod included) when guns go off, for maybe half a second. When the range is really busy, I sometimes miss a tone from my ipod. I wish the circuit were smarter, and only muted the microphone, not the ipod.
For the price, great buy.
