ILS mainspring housing

I see the SA ILS MS housing discussed occasionally with some replacing them w/ standard housings. --  I don't mind the ILS housing at all and like the included take down pin. -- With the new CMP equipment rules and the available reduced power Wolff springs for them, I see no reason to replace the ILS  housings. No pistol smith here so maybe I'm missing something?    -- - Russ OR

Inconsistent trigger pull in my case. I replaced just the mainspring, mainspring cap and installed a mainspring cap pin.

The Wolff replacement mainsprings are only recently available.  Its much more convenient to replace the spring with the GI version since they are much more common.


There isn't anything in the new CMP rules that would stop a shooter from using a non-ILS mainspring.
