Caliber Identification Empty Caliber Identification

The Pardini SP with a .32 conversion kit has .22lr stamped/engraved on the receiver.  I thought manufacturers were required to identify or correctly identify in this case the caliber of the gun.  Not really a concern on my part, just curious about what's required.

no, many AR15 frames are marked ''multi caliber''
