Clean a Target... Show us!

First topic message reminder :

Just thought we could all use some Positive Reinforcement so I made this a "sticky" which means its always at the top in this topic. So when you shoot a clean target and want to hoot a little post it here for all to see! 


Here is what I did last night at our weekly indoor league, 50 ft on the NRA reduced target, shot Timed fire style in four strings of 5 shots, we hang two targets at a time. 100 6x and a 100 7x this was a first for me to clean two in the same set of targets. Ended with a 493 26x out of possible 500.

Well, I’m back.  Getting into our outside  summer league. I hadn’t shot for a couple weeks and had no warmup. I had a poor 77 slow fire but came back and cleaned the timed fire, ended up with a 276.

Very nice target!  But, why ruin it for everyone by showing off and mentioning a, "poor 77?"  Both visual and written reinforcement. . .

Fixed the trigger/magazine interface problem! 92, 100, 97 for a match score of 289, 12X.

But, why did you mention the others?  Do you want more of those, too?  (Maybe you're just seeing if I'll notice. and comment. . .%^)

Oops. Sorry Ed. Good point! It's just that cleans are so rare, they often screw up the rest of the stages in a match. 
I'll concentrate on the cleans!

Cleaned a RF target outside late in July.

Nah, it's practice anyway.  This was with a .32 cal muzzleloader.  Scoring with them is center of hole, not just touching ring.

Please help with scoring this.  Shot today at 50' in practice it looks like my first clean target, but I only see 9 clean holes. Is the small group just left of X 3 shots? I load each mag with 10 rd then shoot two 5-shot strings, so it should be 10. But it is possible I could have loaded only 9 rd.   

How are such issues resolved at matches?

If I were scoring this target the large hole would be scored as a triple.  100-6x

Congrats on your first triple.   Hoping you see a quad soon!

Congratulations on your first clean target!! And 6x's to boot! Whatever's the heck you are doing, keep doing it. That one should get pasted to your gun box :-)

I've encouraged out club to put a "refrigerator page" on our web site to post cleaned targets.  They haven't done it , though.

Obviously the club directors can’t take the pressure of looking at clean targets! Lol!

May I use your target as my iPhone wallpaper?  A daily reminder that with proper training, it can be done, and I’ll tell curious folks that it’s yours.  You’ll be famous at our club!
