KC Crawford 38 Super

To the range today with some Magnus cast 147 grain TC bullets over 3.0 grains of WST with a Federal primer.   Just adjusted the powder measure on my Dillon SDB and made ammo.   15 rounds ran without a bobble.  Made gross adjustments to get on paper.  Gun looks as clean inside as it was when I started out.  Back to the loading bench to make more.  Next we'll shoot it at 50 yards.  Here are pics of what we have.  KC sent the original test targets.  I'm sure he won't mind seeing them posted here.

Can't wait to see how well it shoots Sat.

Don't expect to see it on paper this weekend.  I'm bringing it along for show and tell but there just isn't time this week to be ready to shoot a 900 with it.   Maybe next month..

Made it to the range with this beast.  FWIW 3.0 of WST under a cast 147 TC bullet is pretty light.  I think KC says the gun has a 10 pound recoil spring in it. Rolls brass out pretty well.  Gun has yet to malfunction in about 75 rounds.  Gun is staying amazingly clean too.   Shooting wildly mixed brass including a smattering of 38 Super Comp brass.  Pretty much x ring at 25 yards.  Easy 10 ring at 50.  Headed back to the loading bench with new brass next.  I'll have a 50 yard target to post next week.
