the book of shooters
Some of you have seen at Canton or Perry this year the hardcover book I put together of famous and not so famous shooters. most of the photos I took myself and David Lange donated quite a few, also. Anyway, a lot of shooters wanted copies but the cost is quite prohibitive. So, I spoke with Brian Zins who liked it and agreed to make it available in pdf. format for download on his website. right now it runs around 400 meg but with the additional photos i took at the matches this year and a bunch more that Larry Carter has of famous shooters the file size will be substantially larger. My question is how do you split up a pdf file to make it small enough to not gag peoples machines and what size file would be small enough to be appropriate?

The resolution of the pictures should be between 72 & 96 ppi for screen viewing. If you've inserted full resolution images the pdf size will be much larger than necessary.
