Wilson Sound Barrier Earmuffs
My ancient set of these has started to crap out, the plastic pieces that seal to my head have dried out and cracked past being usable. Tried to find them on the net to order replacements but no luck. Are they out of business, or taken over by someone else under a new name? Seeing as I have only used them for about 45 years I guess I got my moneys worth out of them.

Time to break into the cookie jar and buy a new pair. I really like these, for the money: http://www.midwayusa.com/product/671923/howard-leight-impact-sport-electronic-earmuffs-nrr-22-db-green?cm_mmc=pf_ci_google-_-pf_ci_google-_-pf_ci_google-_-pf_ci_google&gclid=CP3L5s7RkscCFQtFaQod7sQKig

Re: Wilson Sound Barrier Earmuffs
lots of improvements in hearing protection since wilso sold those I too would say step into the 21st century and buy some good muffs but Those listed above aren't very good imo unless you double plug your ears they only offer NRR 22 protection, if not double plugging you need at least 30, I use these linked below and plugs too, still hear range commands good but fired shots are not distracting as with low rated muffs.
these would be much better choice and they offer rebuild kits too.

Re: Wilson Sound Barrier Earmuffs
I used to use ear protectors without electronics, but I will never go back now. After using them in a training situation or even at the range for casual shooting, they are perfect when you want or need to hear what is going on around you or what others are saying. DavidR is correct that any muffs with a NRR of around 22 should be used with ear plugs. I'd bet that once you use electronic muffs, you'll be sold.

Make sure they have a socket to plug in your iphone or ipod for training with one of the range command apps.
