So it seems I have the beginning of tennis elbow in my shooting arm.  I was wondering if anyone has successfully overcome this and how did you do it.

Thanks

I used to be an auto mechanic, and the motion of bolts suddenly giving way would cause severe elbow and shoulder problems.

For both Tennis, and golfer's elbow, get the "band-it"

There are you tube videos to use it correctly:

To rehab and restrengthen use the DFX platinum powerball:

I use these from Futuro anytime I'm doing any grip and lift type work.   It is much easier to wear them and prevent the strain than to work through the pain after the fact.  Found them at Target.

I recommend that you wear it when you shoot as well.  They are legal per the rulebook.

Hello Dockokol,

From personal experience; I don't think you can ever completely "overcome" tennis elbow, tendinitis, tenosynovitis, etcetera; even with surgery.  It will go away but you will always have the predisposition for it in the future.  In your daily activities you need to keep it in the back of your mind and then be aggressive (working with your doctor) when it reappears.....Aleve and rest....if needed escalating to....Celebrex and rest....if needed escalating to Prednisone and rest....if needed escalating to steroid injections and rest.

Eliminating the discomfort is not the same as breaking the cycle of inflammation.  That should be your goal.  Do that and you will back to shooting X's.

Good luck to you.
