I think they're terrific. Terry is a class act. I would order them again in a second!

Best shooting lead bullet out of my Clark. It's all I use in both my BE guns.

My dad used to use Tarus Swagged bullets and they were very accurate. How do these compare and is 1.12 to 1.15 the OAL range of that bullet?

These #801's are cast but shoot as well or better than the Magus swaged 185 or 200 grain in my guns. Don't know how they compare to the Tarus swaged. I reload to 1.144 OAL with the #801

Thanks sounds like people are getting better results from the cast.

The 801 is very accurate and reliable in my old Clark, which will not feed JHP's worth a flip. The Noslers give my about 1.5" at 50 and the 801's are running 2.25" (10 shots at 50 yds).

I use Terry's 185gr JHP and they're the cat's behind as well. Great guy, great advice, great product. He and Zero are two companies we should be thankful support us as well as they do.

Re: Magnus 185gn SWC Button Nose
What loads are you using with the #801s?
Bullseye?
HP38 (W231)?
N310?
Missouri Bullets also has a Button 185 but with a larger nose. Anyone tried these?

I have settled on 3.8 of Bullseye behind the #801 but have used up to 4.2 of Bullseye with great success. The only reason for going with the lighter load was the reduction in recoil, accuracy seemed about the same with all loads.

Re: Magnus 185gn SWC Button Nose
I am not a fan of Missouri Bullets, I would use CJN or Penn Bullets for 185gn and 200gn HG68 SWC.
I had good results with that style bullet from Tarus a Swagger that is out of business (my dad gave me 1000 of those and they were amazing accurate) and Magnus seems to better reviews than the other makes. And their 50yd test target with mixed brass are impressive, I bet new brass and the same head stamp VV powder tightens the groups at 50yd by quarter inch or more.
I tried the Berry's version and they were really inaccurate. So they may look a like but there is something about that shape which makes the specific bullet better than other casters.

Ive watched Terry (magnus owner) shoot many great shortline scores using the 801, his load is listed in the sticky section at the top of the ammo page under pet loads

My load with the 801 is 4.1 Bullseye at 50 and 3.6 Bullseye for the short line.
