First topic message reminder :

I did not want to muddy the above thread on Perry vs. Cardinal.

Every poll I found has shooters preferring turning paper targets to electronic by about 70% vs. 30%  Why is CMP so hellbent on going to electronic targets?  Clearly shooters are not asking for it.  It's massively expensive vs paper.  It would force almost everyone to shoot matches and practice on turning paper and then show up at the Nationals and shoot on a different system.  Why?

For those that like them.  Have you had a positive trouble free experience with an existing system that you feel CMP could make workable on a large scale?  Or do you just not want to score?  Other reasons?

Are these 248's, 250's, 255's being shot at Perry? I heard the min score being discussed but thought that was "just in case". I guess I really hadn't realized what things had come to.

I'm not sure just what a hard leg is, but think now, all 4 of mine must have been, Bristol, 2 Perrys, and C-M. There were a lot of shooters on the line @ both Bristol & Canton. It was a lot of fun and it put a lot of pressure on. And we still have the game. Hopefully it will hang on and when times change can be strong again. The interest in the e-targets are very good sign of interest!

That's like saying " bad press is better than no press " Ron. These new rules that just come out, along with the targets themselves constitutes a completely different sport. One that I will call international large bore pistol.
People want to talk about Heritage, and tradition at Perry? Hard to do that with a straight face when the core of the entire sport is different. Truly sad

Danehogle,
I've not shot on them, too old. I only meant the interest shown here regarding them is a good sign for interest in BE.

I yield to you young fellows....keep it goin!
