Ruger Blackhawk for DR? Empty Ruger Blackhawk for DR?

Post by Tim:H11 1/10/2016, 9:41 pm

Anyone ever use one or heard of anyone using one? Anyone have any accuracy reports to offer? Just wondering about using one for DR. Just a thought that ran through my mind. I shot a friends Blackhawk recently in 45 colt and it showed potential. This event turned me to think of the .357 model.

I think that the revolver has to be double action.

I have read and re-read the section in the rules on distinguished revolver. No where does it specify that the gun has to be double action. Nor does it say anything about the action at all.

I stand corrected. Reading late at night doesn't do any good I guess. That settles that. But you could use a single action in the center agg I guess - correct? I mean there were "camp perry" single action colt and smith models back in the day...

Totally legal for Centerfire. Also legal for .45 if it is .45 caliber. I have a Ruger Bisley (the target, not the cowboy) that I like playing with for CF.
