Handgun Scope?
Does anyone here use a handgun scope instead of irons or a dot sight? Also what might be some inexpensive options to try one out?

I've used a 1 1/2 power before, but, your wobble is terrible leading to snatching shots.
YMMV of course.

Like James says. Putting a scope on a pistol makes your hand shake. But, there are some nice starter price scopes out there. Vortex made one for 50.00 which I haven't seen for awhile and Swift makes a good one for BE. I wouldn't put it on a magnum however. I sold all of my less expensive ones and only have Leupold left.

Re: Handgun Scope?
I tried, a couple months back, a friends M41 7" with a scope at 25 yards and shot a nice 10 shot group easily 10 ring size. It did show me all the little wobbles you don't see with irons. But it interested me enough to see what 50 yards would look like. I did not shoot his at 50 yards but I'm interested enough to eventually get a scope and try.

Ive used it a bit, and I gotta say I do shoot it better then I do with irons. Im planning on going to a dot though.

I shoot the Burris 1X and 2X scopes made explicitly for bulleye for Gil Hebard. Started out with red dots in the mid 80s. Moved to the Burris after a couple of years. Cross hair scopes make you try to shoot perfect. The Burris has a big dot sized so that if you keep the dot in the black at 50 yards all the shots should be 10s and Xs. While no longer in production they can be found on the used market from time to time. I can say that the battery never dies..
