Bought a pair of Nelson conversions..  Put one of them on a pre Series II (No FP Safety) Kimber Super Match frame with one of KC's Battle Axe hammer/sear/disconnector sets installed.  Gun shoots good and is proving to be 100% reliable.  Making a plan for the second conversion.  Looked at the price of a properly prepared Caspian frame with KC's parts and all the other bits and pieces.  The $1250 KC charges for a fully prepped frame starts looking like a good deal..

Its a good deal because KC won't let it leave the shop if it don' t run. 90% of them run 100% on a Caspian frame. Nelson and Marvel will all shoot under an inch from a fixture but the key is building a gun that runs 100% and shoots that way once on a receiver,

I just built Foster SS frame my self and it ran about 85% until I used a lower mag catch.
Not only did it not feed 100% B/F , the tip of the CCI SV was nosing ever so slightly making bad fliers. With the right mag catch its as accurate as any 208 and runs 100%.

I would ask KC and see if he has any of his frames, he may have a couple of SS frames for 22lrs, his frames are way better than Caspian. I don't know where he gets them but they are super, zero machine marks.

KC also is the best M41 guy around.

Dawson Industries, they have a return policy so if it don't work you can return.

An alternative is fitting the magazines but the draw back is if you file to much you screw up the mags and you can't use the mags for you backup gun or in my case the primary gun.

Make sure you order 0.01 LOWER they have several options. If you don't see it on the website I would call them, its not the best website.

In my experience 99% of the time you need a higher mag catch to better align bullet into chamber during feeding. When lower they hit bottom of feedramp.

I just corresponded with Larry Nelson. He said the magazines are designed to ride higher in the magwell than other mags. I'm building 2 new Nelsons right now so I will provide feedback when finished.
