Aimpoint H-1 weaver mount
I am planning to mount an H-1 on a frame mount for a 1911 wad gun. Is the stock mount strong enough to hold up against the recoil
or do I need to find some after market mount?

Yes its strong enough. I have 4 stock mounts and have all been on 45 slide mount with no issues. Frame mount more forgiving.

Many think they are not too and many have had them come off, fred totts builds one that wont fail for 60.00 or if you can find one for the new T or H2 they are a lot stronger.

I finally saved my penny's for an h1 and I really don't want it to fly off and be damaged. Does anyone have a link to order from Mr. Totts? I cannot seem to find any contact info on Google. Does the Totts mount add much weight.
