45 ACP BRASS
Has anyone ever used Armscor and/or Prvi Partizan brass in 45 ACP? Pros/cons.

Armscor is good brass. Head stamp AP or APC. Do not get it confused with brass head stamped Amerc which is total junk. You would get better results using Blazer aluminum cases then Amerc. I don't have any experience with the Prvi.

Agreed. I use Star line predominately but in my mixed brass bucket PMC, and Armscor is rarely a problem and seems to last longer than Remington. The will run a little shorter than Remington or Federal.OldMaster66 wrote:Armscor is good brass. Head stamp AP or APC. Do not get it confused with brass head stamped Amerc which is total junk. Re: 45 ACP BRASS
honestly I've not had any issues with PPU and many calibers.. tons of good 223 and the 45 stuff I've used in my mixed brass loads has been very good.. no large primer holes to deal with

Re: 45 ACP BRASS
I searched to see what people thought of PRVI, this was all I found. I've got a few in range brass and they seemed OK the one time I reloaded them. I used them for a range where I did not plan to pick up my brass.
Reason for my searching was that it is on sale at Graf's for $0.11/rnd https://www.grafs.com/retail/catalog/product/productId/28581

If you go there to check out the brass then don't forget that they are the best/only place I have found to pick up Magtec 158gr RN bullets. These are the best bullet I have ever found for 50yd accuracy in a DR revolver. Apparently I had some in my Cart there. I was waiting to find enough other stuff to get my minimum order. The 45 brass took care of that. N.F.I. They also have a great price on 38 special brass.

Brass looks good and the price was right. Now if the weather gets better I will test the important part.

Does anyone else find 100 rounds of reloads an unnaturally beautiful sight? I always feel so satisfied when I finish one...LenV wrote:Brass looks good and the price was right. Now if the weather gets better I will test the important part.

Re: 45 ACP BRASS
Your not alone in that strange part of the world. I think you have to be a "little" OCD to enjoy reloading. My wife didn't understand when I was upset that there was an extra piece of brass in the box. I mean "how could they do that to me" I actually came back to this post to add info on the PPU brass. Random grabbed 5 new cases of PPU and 5 new Starline. I was curious.
PPU .892 .893 .8945 .8945 .896
Star .892 .894 .8945 .8945 .8955
So basically about the same QC

Re: 45 ACP BRASS
Looking at GBW, they don't appear to sell brass to end users.
http://www.gbwcartridge.com/
Perhaps it was brass that GBW rejected and the brass manufacturer sold it to Midsouth???
