Old Micro Rear Sight
You guys I'm sure recall or may even have guns with the old "Micro" branded adjustable rear sight. I'm sure they are out of production now. I think that they are a very good, and simple rear sight design. Today a sight like that could be very affordable I feel. Why wouldn't another company put it back into production?

Low demand/potential 'audience'.
It is a small percentage of shooters today that try and shoot far enough away that they need much for adjustment.
That and they have been repeatedly told that adjustable sights are too fragile. Personally, if I need a hammer, I will go get one and I don't throw my guns on the ground all that often. But apparently that is just me.

It is a nice "no-gunsmithing" option as well but less desirable now with so many rear dovetails being cut to something other than mil-spec dimensions.

I have one on a old Remington Rand that was converted back in the day. Its a nice sight that is easy to use. So many now use dots, I can see only so much market for one..
