Thank you much. It was a blast to visit Perry for the first time and shoot well. I will not be competing as collegiate next year as I am finishing school this fall. Hope to see many of my new bullseye friends and fellow forum members next year.

Absolutely! I've shot next to Adam on many occasions at Interservice. The AMU has taken care of our Navy team more than we've returned the favor and they're an absolute class act. As expected.
All of those folks invest heavily in time and effort to be as good as they are. Consummate professionals. I would wish nothing but success to anyone who puts in the hours to be the best.

Re: Chris Miceli -NRA National Collegiate Champion
I build pistols that shoot sub 1.5" groups. 95% of my clients are experts and then probably sharpshooters. Most of them will continue to shoot close to the same scores they did before they got the sub 1.5" pistol. Its an unfortunate truth. They're not buying points, they're buying a very accurate pistol. When I got out of the Army and left AMU I shot a match with a pistol I had just welded the stock barrel up and made myself a poor mans BE pistol. I shot 881 cf and 880 45 match with it; I just found the score sheet. I earned those points with skills. Chris earned his points the same way; skills. I know a Dr. I just built a pistol for who owns a Ferrari and has unlimited resources. He's at bottom of the marksman class. You can't buy points! Fundamentals are what wins matches, clear and simple. Yeah a nice pistol helps. So pretty disappointed to see comments like this.

Re: Chris Miceli -NRA National Collegiate Champion
I think it was a joke. There was a comment on the SSUSA post on Camp Perry that said "only shooters of unlimited resources can afford to shoot these competitions."

Only people who have the where with all to have an unlimited supply of guns ammo and time can compete in this type of competition. Ordinary people like alternative competitions. Study the Swiss model of shooting competitions for a good example.

I apologize for my remark being mistaken.
I had hoped to make fun of the remark at the bottom of the article.a
As someone who has been on the bottom of the barrel for quite some time, I have nothing but respect for the effort and success demonstrated by Chris.
Again...my posting was aimed at the comment in the USSA article, not at a well earned success.

If I had read the USSA article I would have got the reference.
Always good to quote a reference especially when being sarcastic. Not doing so gets me in trouble all the time and my friends know I'm a sarcastic SOB and they still can't tell when I'm kidding sometimes!
