1911 grips. EIC legal?
I just read 6.2.1 again because I wondered if these grips would be EIC legal. Ambidextrous, no thumb rest, wood, no palm swell?? It is the same grip that is on the Sig match that is listed as legal. The only thing I would wonder about is if that bump would be considered a palm swell. A couple of years ago I would have said "no way" today I am curious. A sig grip that looks identical just sold on E-bay for 71.00. Now I guess I am looking for a good reason to grab a set.

Except the "Sig" grips don't look like they have the little bump.

I think the officials will consider that a palm swell.

Interestingly the P210 Legend Target is listed as being legal for CMP matches, but not the Legend Super Target. The Legend Super Target has an obvious hump in the back as do your grips in the OP.

I would say it is obvious that they do not like the palm swell. Sig's 1911 Nill gips copy shown in the OP do not have any sort of palm swell and it is obvious in person with the advantage of full 3D viewing!

The XDM has an obvious palm swell with 3 different inserts to change fit and they are legal. It does make you wonder. Maybe if I wait a year they will relax the regs like they did for fiber optic sights. I might just have to buy them and keep them just in case.

Factory Sig grips on a SA. They look symmetrical on sides but there is a obvious palm swell up close and personal. This would be great grips for a shooter with long fingers. I found the front very grippy but had to add traction tape to back. Bottom of grip is very smooth. I ended up with the grips on my 38 super which isn't legal for EIC anyhow because the US Military never used the 1911 in 38 super
