I was once told by a champion trap shooter, "it doesn't matter what the game is, the best shooters will always be on top."

The .22 EIC badge has proved to be the same. The .22 Pistol is easy to shoot, but the competitors are still just as fierce.

For 2016 "The CMP has reinstated its traditional medallion awards for the first three place winners in EIC matches."

The CMP listened to the complaints and soon realized they would loose all the distinguished competitors.

I have not seen any of these medals show up yet from the 2 matches I have shot this year.

Chris, I got one from (of all things) a service rifle match. I'll have to look to see if I've gotten them for service pistol or .22 EIC; I am certain that I have not received my .22 EIC Distinguished Badge medal or pin yet.

I received all 3 of my medallions. Interesting how hit and miss it is for everyone.

John, I also have not seen my .22EIC Distingushed Badge.  The person at CMP said she would send it to me when she gets it.  This was in June.

Earned 6 more today....24 total now. We had 10 shooters. A couple shooters came specifically to shoot the EIC match, but they are not new shooters as desired by CMP.

Shot the 22 and 45 EIC yesterday. They awarded the little pins at the match. Match director said CMP sent him a bunch of them with little stickers with the year on them. That actually made a lot of sense. Too bad I couldn't shoot yesterday both pins were silver.

Len,

Roddy added the date on them.  I do think it would be cool if the CMP did this but I know they will not for the same reason the NRA stopped putting dates on the Sectional pins.

I didn't get any points at nationals, but at least I got a big a$$ gold award:) It was in the mail today. CMP envelopes always make for a better day.Distinguished.22 - Page 2 Img_0710

I got one today as well. They are pretty cool. Can't pin them in a display case like the pins, but very nice.
