Need someone that has a Strong Case Generation 1 Empty Need someone that has a Strong Case Generation 1

If anyone has a "Strong Case" 1st generation that they use and also use the stock spotting scope arm I'd like to see a picture please (Specifically of the arm). I'm looking at buying one from a friend but it's specifically a generation 1 not the current product. The arm for the spotting scope I think is different and may not have the range of adjustment or length that the new ones do. Not sure - thats why I'm asking for a picture. Thanks!

Sorry, don't have a picture.  But I did own one and the minus is that you have to use the attached screw-nut to re-position the attachment bracket for use or transport.  On the plus side, by being screwed in, it had less play for the bracket than the current "spring - pin" attachment bar.  And if you wanted to attached a Gil Hebard directly to the door on the raised panel; the first generation is easier for that.  All in all, the only reason I sold mine was to get a black one when that color finally became available.

It looked short to me but was sure. I have a friend that's gonna sell me a gen 1 box brand new never used at a good price but I am fearful that the arm is TOO short... Any one have any opinions on its length and how useful it is? I read the comment above on its set up screw... That probably won't bother me too much but I worry about its reach. Mainly so the box doesn't obstruct the scope.

Why not Ask your friend that is selling it for a picture?
