been retired about 7 years now and been a shooter all my life. ended up in Auburn and found out about the CMP from friends at the local club. never been a competitive shooter , but the quick EIC matches at Talledaga seem fun and something to kill a saturday morning with.
met a young man there and we chatted about the various matches and 1911s, i have Dads brough back from the big one. he was telling me about how hard you can make it if you want to, which sounded crazy to me? anyway, he said look up 455 webley here and get "hooked up" with people who may be able to help me.
been casting bout 40 years, all kinds and sorts, lots of 45acp and 38 SPECIAL mostly. kept me out of bars and have had a good time. like to deer hunt, but anymore i just go for the hunt club people, i've killed my last deer years ago.

Hello from Nashville Tennessee
Gathering information from this forum to learn about Bullseye. Vintage gun collector and recreational target shooter. Happened upon what I first thought was a National Match 1911 but with no NM markings . A friend of mine said it’s probably an old Bullseye gun. Took it to our clubs range yesterday and it sure is a nice shooting 1911. Will try and post some pictures of it later.

It looks like a “Match Conditioned” 1911. It was likely done back in the 1960s. The Frame was a WW2 built frame and the “FJA” stamp on the left means that Col. Frank J. Atwood supervised the inspection department at the Mikitart contractor. The serial number will tell you which company made it, very likely it was Remington Rand. The slide looks like a mid 50s commercial slide. This was common of a build in this era. IMO, these early build guns were generally better than a Colt NM of the same era.
