Magazines for shoot only .45 SWC????

hi,my pistol comes with two magazines(range officer) and i read for shoot ball ammo is one specfic magazine,for semi wadcutter is other,in this case,what is the most used brand of semi wadcutter magazine,Thanks and sorry for my ignorance,im new in 1911's.

the factory magazines will run either ammo.  Some tuning can also be done to feedlips and follower i believe, also many people change out the magazine spring for a lighter spring like a 7lb. I have factory tuned mags and metal forms

The only bullet I've ever had trouble with is the short nosed 185 gr. WC. The long nosed 200 gr, 185 gr. WC have always functioned well. I like Metalform mags.

Have been using the CMC PowerMag 8rd mags for both SWC and Ball ammo without issues on a RO.  Just purchased some Metalform mags with the round follower and some Wolf 6lb springs unfortunately my pistol is having issues and am unable to utilize the new mags and check for function. (Light mag springs need lighter recoil spring.)

If magazine feeds 200 but not 285 (and vice versa) its not always the magazine. Transition from barrel feed ramp/throat might need additional radiusing.

metalform 7 shot will have swc lips so will a colt 8 round mag.

I have McCormick (spelling?) magazines for my Springfield mil spec that has been done over and I have no problems with 185 grain wadcutters either the button nose variety or the longer nosed ones.
