STI Rangemaster Accuracy
I've heard of some pretty phenomenal groups out of STI Targetmasters and Rangemasters in 9x19 that folks were using for NRA Action Pistol (Bianchi Cup)...like 1.5 inches at 50 yards. Does anyone know how the .45 Rangemasters group at 50 yards? I'm wondering if they're a viable option for a wadcutter gun.

Wa there anything in particular you found unimpressive? Poor barrel fit, slide to frame fit, checkering, etc?Jon Eulette wrote:Recently shot one in 45 and wasn't impressed.

The pistol is good quality build. Just not BE quality. Frame/slide could be tighter. Barrel fit was 7 out of 10. Decent trigger. Just doesn't shoot from hand like a good BE built pistol. Actually very close in fit and quality to a few of the good RO pistols I've seen.
