How many $ tied up in reloading inventory, include loaded CF ammo
Reloading inventory poll
Kaye stepped into my reloading room, even though it says "By Appointment Only" on the door (LOL). Her first question was "how much stuff do you have"? "I don't know" was my answer. She then asked "well if you aren't sure how much, do you at least know what you have". "Hmmm good question, kinda" I answered. "Well maybe you should take an inventory, because I just found what looks like 5,000 bullets in the downstairs bedroom closet" she said.
OK, maybe that's a good idea.... I was a little shocked at the size and value of my inventory. Hence my poll.
Kaye is great, she fully supports my hobbies, well until they creep into other areas of the house anyway!

Include all reloading supplies and rounds you loaded, pistol and rifle. Don't include rimfire or store bought ammo

If you had to buy it? Just adding up components? Waiting to be loaded? Labor costs if added in? I made a WAG but I'm close enough for a poll. Groan. Probably enough to last as long as I do.

I won't even try to valuate my component and ammo stocks. Let's just say a lot of components and ammo. A good portion of it is 230gr HB Sierra and other brand 230s that I will probably never use. Also never use will likely be many many 148 HBWC.
Speaking of 148s, I will soon I think sell off my 52-2.
And maybe a bunch of High Standard and MkII

I guesstimated my response probably a little on the light side. Some is in the man cave and some is in the spare bedroom.

Dave,
Hint, store it in boxes marked "serving dishes", "Grandma's nick-nacks", "old seasonal decorations", etc.

Great idea, unfortunately she is way too organized. I'd have to find a storage container she already has with some room in it, a new container would arouse suspicion.
I have plenty of storage room in the Man Cave (as she pointed out). My rationale "the bedroom is closer", didn't make the WAF. Hey there is another one for the glossary (Wife Acceptance Factor).

Man, I'm jealous. I'm a lowly teacher, I buy a box of 500 heads whenever I can afford it.

Only loosely related, but could fit..... A buddy of mine who is big time into cigars (probably has 1500 give or take in his humidor) said his big fear if he dies is that his wife will sell his cigars for what he said he paid for them.

My survey answers (in no logical order):
I don't want to know.
I can always find room for xxxx.
Enough to stock the neighborhood.
Enough for which ever way the zombie apocalypse leads me.
Hey, if your ordering from xxxx get me some xxxx.
Does that include equipment?
