SL Ammo Question
The outdoor range I belong to had a lot of Zero bullets and I picked up 500 185gr SWCHP cast bullets today. Are these going to be a good for SL shooting matches? I have 185gr JHP Zero for the long line.
Did some sighting in today off a rest to check my SL and LL settings on mt LB Wc and my Mark III. That will get me close off hand never matches me benchrest settings and figure I just don't have the trigger squeeze and grip right yet. Don

Re: SL Ammo Question
They're not cast, they're swaged. Very accurate. I use them for the long line. 3.9gr Bulls-eye or 4.2gr WST works for me. About 750-770 fps.

Re: SL Ammo Question
i borrowed a fellow shooters wad gun and his LSWCHP load was very impressed with the accuracy, i'm sure if you did some intense data gathering the JHP would be more accurate in some guns but the LSWCHP will be close.

Re: SL Ammo Question
Accurate for SL and Long Line I load them at 3.8gn BE or VV310.
I use Starline Brass, OAL 1.235 Taper Crimp to .468. JHP may be 1/4 inch more accurate at 50 Yards but these are a lot better for your gun. You will find under 2gn variance in weights from bullet to bullet.
I shot a 93 5x with them on the long line.
