SK Ammo Question.
Not seeing a lot on line for rim fire ammo. After a few years of shooting CCI SV, I'm not able to find it locally.
Stopped at another local shops and found some SK rifle match.
Has anyone used this in there pistol. Velocity between the pistol match the rifle match seems to be the same.

Re: SK Ammo Question.
I haven't used the SK rifle match but I switched this summer from CCI SV to SK pistol match with no regrets and no alibis. It's clean and accurate. The new CCI SV gave me multiple FTF in practice in multiple match quality pistols.
Re: SK Ammo Question.
I spoke with someone very knowledgeable on 22 ammo and they stated that pistol match is usually a bit hotter than rifle match. They test in pistols and rifles which have different barrel lengths so they adjust powder charges accordingly to get the velocity out of the two barrel lengths. Not that you should be worried about recoil on the 22...

Re: SK Ammo Question.
My 41 loved the bulk pack 'Magazine'. So did my dry cracked knuckle dishpan hands. The boxed variety, which I thought would be the same stuff (and all that was available), wouldn't function at all.
SV was hopeless, and after running out of Eley yellow box I gambled on a case of RWS pistol, that seems to be ok. Figured either way it will get used eventually in something, and $3 a box delivered wasn't very painful at all. Wish I'd bought 2 or 3.

Re: SK Ammo Question.
Yeah Wes, I was getting Geco (RWS) under $3/50 and bought many bricks until I ran out of storage space.
It shot so well in my 6" Marvel that I later bought more bricks of true RWS Pistol/Rifle match and another storage container.
I have had good success with Magazine in a lot of pistols and anything that ate Magazine also did fine on Std+. My favorite SK product is Pistol Match, but it will be a while before I see it at a decent price again.

I did find some SK Pistol Match. So I ordered 3 bricks to start. Also found a local shop that does carry SK rifle match. Next order they will order a few bricks of pistol match as well.

I love the SK Pistol Match, and so does my Pardini.
Except for the snot they use as lubricant, that stuff I do not like on my hands at all.

Re: SK Ammo Question.
I have been putting together a selection of SK RF Ammo to try out. After I do my normal sorting I will shoot some test targets using my Ransom rest. (Can't count on my accuracy)

Re: SK Ammo Question.
SK pistol match has gone from $6.50 to $9 per box, if you can find it. Most places are out. I'm on my last case of it. I have 2 cases of the new formula CCI SV and it's terrible. Multiple failures in reliable match guns that loved the old formula CCI SV. I've got a lot of rimfire ammo but not as much match ammo as I would like. I'm trying to get a couple of Eley cases from CMP.

I hear you Mike but I bet you don't have failures with it and it's not a heavy viscosity. The Wolf snot is worse.

Not RWS, but I’ve shot some of the Fiocchii 40 Gr HP Subsonic and it was excellent. Sitting on a case of it for when my CCI runs out.

Re: SK Ammo Question.
Tried the SK Pistol Match in my Marvel. My trap gun has a tighter pattern than my Marvel. Friend of mine grabbed a box and drilled out the x ring with his Marvel. I had a box of CCI SV and cleaned the target with 6 x.
