Placement of powder stand
Final reloading setup question:
I am finally ready to re load. The last question I have is placement of the powder stand
Some details of bench:
Length = 88"
Width = 25"
I am right handed and have my scale at eyes length on right side on a shelf.
I sit in the middle and my press is on my right side next to me
No one else uses this so I am going to place the stand permanently
Thanks for any advice on this

Re: Placement of powder stand
I use a RCBS base plate and the powder stand now sits to the left of the press. It is held down with thumb screws and when I use it I face it forward and when I don't need it I can quickly turn it around so it isn't in my way. Here you can see the base plate before the stand was installed.

I would put the powder measure to the left of the press. If I needed to trickle powder I would have my trickled and scale between the measure and the press.

If it was me, I wouldn't permanently mount anything but the press.
I'd also make loading blocks from 1/2 inch thick or 3/8 thick wood with dimensions exactly matching the dimension of a Federal 45 AUTO ammunition packaging tray including the hole spacing. Glue and brad a piece of 1/8 Masonite on the bottom. These are only used for powder charging. After the cases are sized belled and primed, set the cases in the blocks, take a whole block of ready cases under the measure and charge each in turn. Easy to do, easy to inspect.

And do inspect. Look down into every charged case sitting in the block. It is easy to see irregular powder depths. Look again as you place them onto the press for seating.

I mount my Uniflow on the RCBS single stage press head with the provided mounting bracket. It does require removing to finish the cartridges. I only do 3K to 4K 9mm a year so the inconvenience is minimal. A drawback is each case must be handled to accept the throw but Wobbley's block, made rectangular, could work as well. My $.02
