If it shoots as good as it used to? I bought 500 rounds a couple of yrs ago @ about $36 or so and really liked it. Unfortunately it is now about $43 + or so and shipping has gone up considerable. If you're nos saving those cases, I would be interested in buying them.

Oops, my bad, Jon. I forgot that most match BE shooters do not have time to collect their brass. Federal Premium Gold Medal Match .45 auto cases are the most consistent of all the cases I've weighed out. I know from previous posts that BE shooters pay very little attantion to the weight of empty cases, but I believe that there is some benefit there. Although Starline 45 auto cases are very consistent in weight, the Federal Prem GM cases are about 3/4 of the dispersion of Starline cases. I wish you well at the match.

Since this ammo came up, I've been wondering why it has a roll crimp. As one of the most accurate factory ammos, why is everything else we shoot taper crimped? it would seem like there is an interesting question here about the purpose of that roll crimp.

I have some that I bought last year, seems to shoot well if the loose nut holding the grip does his part. I was just looking at this ammo And it does not appear to have a roll crimp. I got mine at Midway when it was on sale.

The newer stuff might have different graphics & coloring on the boxes, but the ammo quality & consistency should be the same.
