Re: Norma Tac Ammo
I have used both match and tac with no issues. I think they are both 1100 ftps.

My Labradar data fired from a 6" VQ barrel from my Victory says TAC 22 HV 981, LV 918, AV 951, ES 63, SD 18.
Match 971 905 937 66 22

Humor me and spell your abbreviations out just once. I wont ask again once I see it.
I also shoot a Victory with a Volquartsen and a Tandemkross trigger.

LV = Low Velocity
AV = Average Velocity
ES = Extreme Spread
SD = Standard Deviation
These are the reading that the Labradar, well any chronograph uses. The Labradar will give you the velocity all the way down range. I think the reading is every .001 of a second. How far the Doppler radar can track the bullet depends on the bullets size by cross section. Don

It just takes me forever to type or mine would have been sooner. I just type with my trigger finger and have a hard time keeping it moving. lol DonBubba Blaster wrote:Is there an echo in here , or is it just me ?Chris Miceli wrote:high velocity, low velocity ,average velocity, Extreme spread , Standard division

The Terminology Police have arrived. Standard Deviation is correct.
(I took Statistics 101 my 4th year of undergrad, so I'm clearly an expert.)

Re: Norma Tac Ammo
I shot some Norma Target this weekend CCI was much better for me out of my Nelsons. I suspect that was due to the long division.
Norma TAC might be better than Norma Target for pistols but I will stick with CCI SV, SK and Aquilla.

Re: Norma Tac Ammo
Today I started the lesson shooting the blank targets and took along a couple boxes of TAC 22 to use for the drill. First shot failed to eject. Cleared case and fired the second, stove pipe. Then from that point everything ran perfectly. You just never know. Don

Re: Norma Tac Ammo
Tried some last week out of my Nelson & a Ruger MKII. Compared it to CCI SV, paper box. All shot 2 handed from a bench @ 50 ft with 5 rounds to recondition the bore between groups.
Pretty close to the same for the Nelson, just a little bit larger group.
The Ruger definitely preferred the CCI.
I'll try them at 50 yds later & give a heads up on how they shoot out of my hole punchers.

I bought a brick on the Norma Target recently when Midway had it on sale (along with a rebate which was later rejected, grrr).
I compared CCI SV, Norma TAC, and Norma Target in my S&W 41 and my SIG Trailside. The Norma Target gave the worst groups
of the 3 in both guns. So, I guess I have 400+ rounds left of expensive plinking ammo. YMMV.

Re: Norma Tac Ammo
My Labradar test showed the TAC 22 to be better then their Target. The stuff is good enough for me at the indoor range for practice and the price is right. The last couple days I been shooting the blank target lesson and been shooting up my Thunderbolts. The complains from the Nelson but maybe they are the reason I can't pass the Proficiency Point Seams like one of to end up out of the overlay circle. Still good practice. Don

Just throwing this out there. I know should be commercial but since you are talking about it. I have 3 bricks that I want to get rid of. My 22 likes CCI. It is $44 on sale at midway. I will ship for $40/ if you take all 3
