Which to use for CF and 45
First topic message reminder :
I currently own the following 2 wad guns
1. RO 45 fully accurized, Kart match barrel, 3.5# trigger .....
2. Colt Series 70 Gold Cup Match, accurized, kart barrel and Briley bushing, 3.5# trigger....
I have a marvel 22 conversion on an RO frame already and have a Nelson on order( before I bought the marvel and 2 others. I may have a gun buying addiction
Should I sell the Nelson, or the wad gun( which one). I prefer to keep them all. Should I put the Nelson on one as a backup 22(Zins recommendation)

Oh come on Len! Just try a Euro gun. It'll open up a whole new world for you!LenV wrote:These are the ones I actually shot in a CF or 45 match last year. I had this picture in the computer. There are some changes in dots, grips or barrels but same guns. I need to do one for 22's sometime. 4-45's, 2-38 super, 2-38 special and a 9mm
I guess I got bored. Current BE 22's. You may notice that I don't own a single pistol that ends in a vowel. Forgot to put 17 no dash in picture.

Jim, I have never found one that fits my hand size. Not just wide but fat hands.

Well I had reached Master level in gun buying till I bought this 52-2 off Gun Broker and the club demoted me. In fact after they read the post on here about me trying to fix it they said the buy couldn't even be count. Don

Since this thread has degraded to a "who buys the most guns" urination contest...let's bring it back to the original concept.
The best gun to use for CF and 45 is the one that you score best with. That isn't necessarily the most accurate one either. If all you have are 45 s then shoot the same gun in both events.

I answered a question from the OP simply listing the pistols I use for Bullseye and mentioning a related interest.Wobbley wrote:Since this thread has degraded to a "who buys the most guns" urination contest...let's bring it back to the original concept.

Sorry guys I just get bored sometimes I guess.
Back to OP's topic. Most of the people I see around here are using just a 22 and 45. Don

Mightyheb I will post a answer since it is your thread.Mightyheb wrote:Obviously wobbly not a gun buyer of the month member
He would be welcome and after reading his last post probably would appointed to at least Vice Pres.
I had to slow down also when I started buying better guns. All those SW M&Ps I got are petty cheap. Paid my house and suv off a couple years ago and just been using that money. After all my plan in life is when I die my last check bounces. Don

I never saw a UHaul follow a hearse to the cemetery.Mightyheb wrote:Amen Don. That's how it is supposed to go. Last breath last penny

Re: Which to use for CF and 45
The reason I slowed down was that all the ammo became a problem to store. And when you have a minimum of 500 rounds of 380, 40, 357, 44 Mag, 45 Colt....and 2000 rounds minimum of 45, 9mm, 38... it gets cumbersom to store it all.

Well since you mentioned that there was a picture yesterday of a hearse pulling a UHaul trainer at the front of the funeral procession. DonWobbley wrote:I never saw a UHaul follow a hearse to the cemetery.Mightyheb wrote:Amen Don. That's how it is supposed to go. Last breath last penny

Re: Which to use for CF and 45
Would you guys PLEASE stop talking about hearses u-hauls and cemeteries . I have spent the last week writing a journal for my son. A "Just in case" list of my guns and what they may be worth and where to sell them. And inventorying ammo. Lotsa ammo. I think you should add no ammo left on your kick-off list.
