I am trying to decide if this will make a good lower for my nelson conversion? Not sure if the frame is full size or not and curious if I should switch to a les baer trigger to make it feel similar to my baer wad gun. Thoughts?Nelson lower Img_2010

I have a Marvel unit 1 on a dedicated SA Milspec lower.
Sent the conversion and pistol to the gunsmith to be fitted and trigger job done.
Told him he could keep the whole upper and both magazines.
Been 5 years and countless rounds.
It works.
YMMV

I did the same thing. Dave Salyer did the trigger job and kept the top end for payment. He later fitted a beaver tail which was much more comfortable.

I'd go Range Officer.  The trigger is decent or maybe excellent.  A KC kit will make it great.  The beavertail is already there.  The MSH can be switched or just refilled with normal spring and pins.  You can keep the upper or not.  I kept the upper for mine

You may as well go for the beavertail on all 1911 nowadays

It's the same thing as a milspec or loaded.
There may be some minor differences but it does not matter if your using it as a dedicated lower.

If you own that use it.

I shoot a Nelson on a range Officer frame but changed the grip safety to Mil Spec. I like em and I shoot it well. If you own that Commander model then I'd say use that. If you don't like the Mil Spec grip safety there are drop in parts available or you could have one fitted nicely and refinished. Or use it as is until you got an RO. Or another frame ready for a beaver tail. On a budget I'd say use what you got.

I have looked at your picture several times and I am not sure what I am looking at. Is that an Officer model or a Commander? How many rounds does the magazine hold? Nelson's work on Commanders they won't work on Officer models.
