Were the kit guns slides lightened by Colt at the factory?
I have a .38 spl longslide kit gun that the rear of the slide (internal) and forward of the slide lugs (internal) is lightened.

The one I had for a short time was a Hebard pistol and it had lightening cuts in the slide.
