Stroke counter
Anyone install a manualy operated stroke counter on their reloader machines ? A mount, a rod and some fasteners type thing before I invent one.

Re: Stroke counter
I used to have a manual counter with a spring mounted my bench. The Hornady lnl hit the counter and moved the number. Worked on the lnl. Have 2 Dillon's now and they are higher off the bench. I have an electronic counter now.

Jack H, I'm not sure if you were talking to me or not, but here is a link to the newer version of my counter.

Ah. I see. Never knew of that product in almost 60 years of reloading.

Re: Stroke counter
I have one on my 550. Micro switch mounts on the powder measure. Display mounts on primer tube. Chinese made. Got it on eBay I think. Less than $50 if I remember. Works fine.

Re: Stroke counter
Why?
I just keep count of the number of primers used.

Re: Stroke counter
Come on now Dave that's way to easy, plus you don't get to buy another gadget. Honestly though I'm not really worried about rounds through my press, I reload till I have enough ammo for what I want to do. If it breaks I fix it.davekp wrote:Why?

Re: Stroke counter
Dunno why, but I made a round counter, which differs from a stroke counter, as it only counts loaded rounds.
I made an aluminum plug that drops into the seating die. A loaded round in the seating die raises the plug up and depresses a microswitch triggering a digital display to count.
I tried to attach an image, but apparently I have no idea how to do that on this forum!

That is what I am talking about.... a finished product counter. If I only want to make 78 pcs to fill the 100 round container type thing.

Re: Stroke counter
I just re-sent it.
If I try to post it here I get a message stating that I have "0" storage space available.
Not sure how that can be with only three posts and no images uploaded!

W4ti, I have the model II. There is no option for any data export. I can not speak towards the current model III.
