Shotgun Question
I have a Charles Daly 12ga OU that was gifted many years ago to me and I'm having trouble finding information about it. I thought I'd use the brain trust here to see if anyone know anything about this weapon. Here are the clues.
Manual that it came with is for Empire or Superior Grade OU
It was Made in Italy
It is stamped "INC. BRESCIANI" near the trigger
It has a detailed engraving of a bird hunting scene which covers all exposed metal
It has auto eject
The upper barrel is stamped CAM. 70 184 beneath. Above it is stamped Charles Daly Empire EDL
The lower barrel is stamped KG1.440 183
Trigger is gold colored.

Re: Shotgun Question
CAM is 70 mm Chambers ( 2 3/4")
183 and 184 are actually 18.3 and 18.4 which is the bore diameter (.720)
An older Italian bore dimension.
Brescia is an area in Italy where many shotguns are built.
A picture of the receiver would help.

Re: Shotgun Question
Mike, when you pull the barrels off, notice all the strange symbols on it and on the receiver. These are manufacturer marks and Italian proof marks which can. Tell you a lot about the gun.
