No idea but looks like it is very nicely crafted.

What would a person do for magazines if they bought it?Merick wrote:No affiliation with seller

No clue as to the mfg, but could the lack of a mag be the reason that it is for sale?

I did not even think about the magazines when I saw it. The lack of a magazine would be a problem:)

Re: identify this 22 conversion
My guess is that everybody that has owned it has researched the lack of mags and was unable to come up with anything workable or adaptable and put it back up for sale. I am sure that a resourceful machinist or gunsmith could come up with something but the cost would be prohibitive.

It just says no mag. What make us think it wont work with a Ace mag or Nelson or GSD...

Re: identify this 22 conversion
I ran a Google images search using some pics from the listing, but nothing useful came up relating to the maker of the conversion.
Google thought some of the parts were similar to other pistol parts and guns, but there were several pneumatic valves, car parts, and a couple of weed pipes that Google thought were quite similar to it!

IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY THAT STYLE CONVERSION KIT WERE FOR SALE IN THE SHOTGUN NEWS. I BELIEVE IT WAS IN THE EARLY 80'S. I CAN'T RECALL THE NAME OF THE COMPANY. BUT THEY ALWAYS RAN ABOUT A 6 PAGE AD. THEY EVEN SOLD STAINLESS STEEL FRAMES FOR THE S&W MDL 52/39. THE COCKING TABS DO LOOK LIKE THE HOGUE UPPER THEY USED TO SELL. JP

A fun novelty for someone who doesn't have quite everything. That's not me yet so on without it. Can't imagine it is competition accurate.

I would think it could be very accurate. Fixed barrel so it would be as accurate as the barrel.weber1b wrote:A fun novelty for someone who doesn't have quite everything. That's not me yet so on without it. Can't imagine it is competition accurate.
