Nelson conversion question Empty Nelson conversion question

Thinking about getting one. I’m on the fence if I want th rib version or sights. I guess i could order the rib separately. Do you get ththe standard or threaded barrel version. I’ve heard some get the threaded so they can add weight to th front of th pistol.  Seems like the wait time is lower as well. Wooohooooo

Scoped the same, without the magazines inserted, both on Caspian lowers, my Nelson weighs 2 oz. more than my wad gun. It has the standard unthreaded barrel.

My Nelson on my Gold Cup frame, with threaded bbl, barrel weight and Holosun dot weighs exactly what my Clark Heavy Optic .45 weighs.

If you choose, get one conversion with a rib, and an extra barrel with a sight rib.
Then you can easily do both.

Nelson's are great, and shoot as well as anything. Marvels are good as well. +1 on the extra barrel. Change from EIC to Bullseye with a dot in no time flat.

I have 2 standard,non-threaded barrels(one with open SIGHTS, one with scope rib), they both weigh the same. The complete Nelson(s) unit(s) are 1.5 oz heavier than the Range Officer upper.

I've only had mine a couple of weeks, my wait time was about 10 weeks, including Christmas. Larry is great to work with (and great to just talk to).

Go for it
