Nelson Mag Question Empty Nelson Mag Question

Post by Magload Wed Nov 01, 2017 11:03 am

I am shooting a Nelson 22 LR conversion on a Remington R1 frame and would like to mod one mag so the slide does not lock back.  I have done this with a 1911 mag but these mags are not the same.  Any ideas.  I have 6 of these mags so  messing one up is not a biggie. I appears to me that there is a bump on the front right of the follower that could be filed but it also looks like maybe it holds the front of the follower from popping out.  Don

Don,
Pull the follower file down the ledge that catches the slide stop.  You might be able to do it without taking it apart but it's easier to clean it.

Thanks Dave I figured that was it but it never hurts to get advice before removing material.  I'm sure I could get another follower anyway.  Don
