160 gr. Semi-Wadcutter
Has anybody tried this 160 gr. Semi-Wadcutter bullet or something like this?

Any guidance as to preferred alternatives and loads will be appreciated.

Seems like a high price. Dardas sells the 160 gr for $42.50 per 500 and will size them to order.

I've just started experimenting with 155 gr SWC, and it seems to need around 0.5-0.8 gr. more of powder to get good functioning compared to 200 gr. SWC.

had good luck with the hg style 160s but only at 25 yards once you try sending them to 50 they tend to not all make it on caii. Those matt 160s look like the old 155's from lasercast, they were only good to 25 yards as well, so if all you want is short line stuff they should work ok. IMO your better off with something that works good to 50 yds and load all the same. a good 185 or 200 will knock the center out of both short and long line if you do your part

The Dardas 160 grain, sized .452, work well.

Fellow shooter just Ransomed 160 Dardas at 50 yds. Horrible groups in known quantity pistol. 25 not an issue. Just sharing his results.

My bad! I asked my buddy. The 160's shot good. It was some 185's with 3.9 BE & 4.2 Titegroup that shot poorly.

Magnus Bullet Company had a 155 mold at one time. Best I remember, as your testing has shown, they shot good at 25 but had to be run hot to get reasonable groups at 50.

I've been shooting Valiant 160's for years. 4.2gr Bullseye on the short line and 4.5gr on the long line. Zero 185 LSWHP still group a little better at the 50yd line.
