Replacement for Powder Hopper

Found this company that makes and sells replacement Pyrex glass powder hoppers for reloaders

My hopper had become very dark and cloudy. Purchased one of these and have been happy with it.

Damn!  I didn't need one, but look like a good long term investment.   I'm hoping the taller hopper fits under the overhead shelf.

I tried to place an order with them, but their web site online order system forces you to sign up for a PayPal account, even if you want to pay with your own credit card. I won't do business with the anti-gun PayPal outfit, I hope he can get that straightened out.

Dry glass can generate enough static electric charge to create a spark.  It probably won't ignite smokeless powder, but is certainly enough to ignite black powder.  In any case, I wouldn't use a glass container for gunpowder.

I wonder if Static Guard spray would have a negative effect on powder. It does contain some funky chemical...

Boxturtle, I have my press grounded.  Wouldn't any static bleed off through the metal?  

Also, if I decide to rub the glass with animal fur (like we did in grade school), I'd guess that I would be asking for problems 

I do use dryer sheets, so based n this video, I may be in serious trouble

Interesting. The Phelps loaders (Star copies) used a glass powder hopper on some machines.

Star used either Aluminum or Excelon plastic. The plastic version was the latest revision.

Wonder if they knew about the static issue with glass?

This has been my experience. After a wipe out from a powder change over the glass returns to normal & consistent powder drops quicker than my plastic one did.

 I would think unless you are rubbing your powder hopper for good luck or to keep evil  spirits away you will have no static charge build up issues igniting powder.

This issue has been corrected, you can now go to a PayPal "Guest" checkout that doesn't force you to sign up with Paypal. I placed my order this morning.
