Optics rings for the Benelli MP90/95
This installation is really nice but these are not the rings included in the Ultradot box and a call to Ultradot USA in CA didn't help.
The front mount is the correct width but the screw doesn't fit the notch and for the rear the mount is too wide. Looking carefully the rings also appear to be of different heights.
Larry's aftermarket rail is not exactly a Da Vinci so I'd much prefer to duplicate the set-up in the photo.
Ideas and guidance much appreciated.

Re: Optics rings for the Benelli MP90/95
I used a set of Warne 11MM rimfire rings when I had the scope mounted over the ejection port as shown in the picture. The problem is, the ejection on the Benelli 22 is pretty much straight up. I had frequent alibi's from shells bouncing off the scope and falling in front of the bolt as it closed. I then tried using only the rear ring and cantilevering the scope back over the rear sight. This solved the problem but I thought the single 11MM ring looked a little questionable. I then drilled and tapped the receiver at the rear and mounted a Weaver base. I now use a single low Weaver ring and cantilever a 1" Ultradot back over the rear sight. This leaves the port clear and the empties can fly where ever they want. An Aimpoint mini or one of the clones, so mounted, would work well too.

Although your UD is much longer, I've had good luck with a cantilever mount and a smaller optic. Mine's a cheapy NcStar, but I bought it for the mount. I will get occasional alibis when empties don't eject quite right. Just an idea. I'm thinking about making a small brass deflector to put right under the optic.

I also tried the brass deflector route but didn't get rid of the alibi's until I went to the scope mounted behind the port. With the low weaver ring my scope just about rests on the rear sight. I like it to be as low as possible.
The Italians just can't seem to get a handle on scope mounted pistols. Pardini's have their own set of problems.

All good ideas, thanks.
These are available in Extra High and have two screws for better stabilization.
What do you think?

Good point Jim, same with me. I'll try those ^^ high mounts first and your aft mount second.

If you're mounting over the port, and don't mind the high line of sight, those rings might work well for you.

I also suspect that I won't like the high line of sight Jim but it is something quick to try before I tackle your solution.
