Dry-Firing fun. Empty Dry-Firing fun.

Dry-Firing may be monotonous, at least for me it is, and so I ordered this $150 MantisX system to bring some fun into it.

https://www.usacarry.com/mantisx-firearms-training-system-review/

Their tech department is both available and knowledgeable and I was told that they expect to add  another 70 plus percent of functions/content through ongoing updates.

I will be installing the MantisX with the magnetic/adhesive Picatinny mount ($10) to the bottom of a 1911 magazine and I'll be dry-firing, bullseye style, on a 10m target in the living room.

I'll be collecting the sessions' data to a separate, if need be, storage chip in anticipation of a software update that will allow tabulation, comparison and display of all the results since session #1.

Friend just bought one. Seems like an interesting device.

Wonder what people think about adding some more realism to dryfire sessions:

I can see someone building a dedicated 1911 combining these ^ two systems.
