Have a 38  686 6". Bought it years ago, probably shot it 200 rounds. I got hooked on a very ugly habit (Sporting Clays). As you can imagine, the two disciplines are not compatible. On Sporting, looking at the front bead is a Cardinal Sin. Same sin for looking at the target when shooting Bullseye.

This is the only one of these I have ever seen, have never seen another one for sale. Gun is minty with generic box, just the way I got it. What is it worth?

A bunch. I can't find a 38 special variant. They did make 250 38 Super but they were in 4".

This brings back memories of a fellow who came to the range with a Smith Victory 38 S&W sloppily rechambered to 38 Spl.

He asked me to look at his gun because it would not fire. It was his lucky day. His hammer-mounted firing pin was broken. The cylinder was stoked with 6 rounds of, you guessed it! 38 Super!

There is one for sale on the local Chicago Armslist. They have it up for $850.00. Fwiw, it's been on there for quite a while at that price so that is probably high.

Good luck if you decide to sell yours.

A target revolver is not of much use in a war zone. May put it up on 'Broker, will not be for $850.

I found a N frame 38 Special 5 screw 6.5" S serial numbered.
Looking forward to shooting it.  38/44 I think they call it
