I was loading up some Zero 45 ACP 185 gr SWC with WST powder and ran out. None of the local stores have any WST in stock, but would order it for me. I have a unopened container of Silhouette and was thinking about using it for the 45.  The Ramshot web site recommends start load to max of 8.0 to 8.9 for a 180 (L) SWC .  For 185 they list a plated SWC with start to max load of 7.5 to 8.9.

How well does Silhoutte shoot with the 45 ACP?  Is any one else using it?

One of the shooters here in Texas, Odie Hitt, was using Ramshot Competition with 3.9gr. Said it has lots of volume for that weight and fills the case, but clean and mild recoil. I have it on the list to try one of these days I can grab some without shipping/hazmat.

On the chart it looks slower than VV320. Could be ok in a pinch but not likely great at typical Bullseye loads.
